Israa M Shamkh is a computational chemistry researcher and software engineer working at the intersection of bioinformatics, drug design, and scientific computing. She is the founder of Bioinformatics Gate, a scientific platform designed to help researchers learn computational skills and apply them in real scientific projects and global collaborations. Alongside her research work, Israa has over 8 years experience
She has contributed to more than +30 research publications with an h-index of 10, collaborating with researchers and institutions across the United States, Brazil, Hong Kong, and the United Kingdom. Israa is also active in the global scientific community as a reviewer for journals under Springer Nature and other international publishers, a regional representative for the UK ABCS scientific community, and a technical developer for the IJBTCS scientific journal, working to bridge science, technology, and real-world impact.
She worked as software development, contributing to multiple programming and technology projects. Her expertise includes software engineering, web development, plugin development, and building digital platforms designed specifically to support scientific research, bioinformatics analysis, and computational workflows for research institutions and scientific organizations.
